Richard F. Mulá Jr. has over 20 years of diverse architectural and integrated multidisciplinary experience with an emphasis in design, urban planning, management and construction. Professional experience includes design and management of multiple building types, such as commercial/corporate, educational, pharmaceutical, correctional, healthcare, institutional, religious, research and development, industrial/manufacturing and multi-scale residential.
As founding principal and managing member of Richard F. Mulá Architects LLC, Richard directs all aspects of the firm. From the beginning, his vision, leadership and insightfulness serve to guide the evolution of the firm and continuous pursuit of new innovative design practices and project delivery strategies.
While his hands-on responsibilities include design, project management, marketing & business development, his broader undertakings include serving as adjunct instructor at Stevens State College of Technology, and Bradley Academy for the Visual Arts. Richard also serves in the capacity of architectural advisor and design consultant for numerous projects for Michael Baker Jr, Inc. one of the nation’s largest engineering firms.
Richard is a registered architect and graduate with honors from Drexel University located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree. Richard is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) and an active member of the American Institute of Architects, Philadelphia Chapter and affiliate member of the New York Chapter.
Prior to establishing his own practice, Richard’s career spans years of working in architectural firms noted for their architectural design expertise, including H2L2 Architects and Planners, in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. This experience has carried on today and benchmarks the firm’s familiarity and competence in all aspects of the architectural planning and design process.
