Mulá Architects provided planning, urban/site planning architectural design and landscape design services for a multi-use urban development project consisting of over 340,000 square feet, on 15 acres of post-industrial brown-site in a joint collaboration between private and public efforts.
Studies included transportation logistics and connectivity to surrounding neighborhoods with new and existing urban context. The design consisted of multiple scaled multi-story structures for ART including fabrication/foundry, resource center, design sculpture studios, and a sky bridge connecting to a public community commerce/business center and parking structure.
Performing a broad design role and integral design approach to planning and architecture the design incorporated many unique spatial features consisting of an outdoor/indoor koi pond, outdoor multi-media plaza, sculpture plaza with reflecting pool/water sculpture, botanical garden/sculpture park, outdoor amphitheater, and landscape sculpture/sculpture exhibit.
